THE WOODLANDS (HOUSTON), TEXAS – Benchmark, a global hospitality company, has named Shayd Pecor director of facilities for The Essex – Vermont’s Culinary Resort & Spa, a Gemstone Collection property located in Essex, Vermont. Lisa Fasbender, Benchmark's acting general manager at the resort, made the announcement.
“It is with pleasure that I welcome Shayd to The Essex,” said Ms. Fasbender. "He brings with him a broad background in facilities management that will benefit our resort in a significant way. We are pleased to have him as part of our executive team.”
Shayd Pecor comes to The Essex with 30 years of exemplary industry experience important to the resort. He was previously facilities and manufacturing supervisor for Hearthstone Stoves of Morrisville, Vermont. Prior to this he held the position of facilities maintenance manager for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters of Waterbury, Vermont. Earlier in his career Mr. Pecor served in positions of increasing responsibility within facilities and production for companies in New York and Vermont. He resides in Montpelier, Vermont.

Also Benchmark has named Bethany Hopp controller for The Nautical Beachfront Resort, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Frank Casarez, Benchmark’s general manager for the resort, made the announcement. “It is a pleasure to welcome Bethany to our resort,” said Mr. Casarez. “She brings vast experience and financial acumen to her new position with us, as well as a keen understanding of our resort destination. She is a wonderful addition to our executive team.”
Bethany Hopp brings more than two decades of experience to her new role with The Nautical Beachfront Resort. She was previously the chief financial officer for Havasu Landing Resort and Casino. Prior to this appointment she served as director of finance and accounting for Durango Mountain Resort of Durango Colorado.
Ms. Hopp is a graduate of Kennedy Western University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She resides in Lake Havasu City with her husband.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
