Carlson, a privately held, global hospitality and travel company, announced the further expansion of Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM in Pennsylvania. The opening of Country Inn & Suites, Hershey at the Park, Pa. marks the brand’s expansion in the region as part of its Ambition 2015 growth strategy.
“With 16 Country Inns & Suites hotels in the state and more than 30 locations in the northeast United States, the brand is establishing a strong footprint in the region,” said Steve Mogck, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Country Inns & Suites By Carlson. “We are focused on building momentum in North America and India as we increase our portfolio of hotels over the next five years.”

The hotel is less than one mile from Hersheypark, a 110-acre amusement park near the Hershey Chocolate Factory. The hotel offers an indoor pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The 86-room hotel also features extended stay suites, one-bedroom suites, and guest rooms with complimentary high-speed Internet access, microwave, refrigerator and flat panel televisions.
