Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts’ enters the luxury hotel segment business by bringing together sustainability, local traditions, curated experiences, and upscale amenities to deliver a unique offering to the destination.
MIAMI, FL – Cayo Levantado Resort, a brand-new resort under the Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts portfolio, has announced they are now open for reservations, which will start welcoming guests on June 1, 2023. Located on the island of Cayo Levantado, just a few miles away from Samaná Bay, this completely rebranded, and extensively renovated property will invite guests to discover the uncharted syncopations of the Dominican Republic through its A Rhythm All Its Own concept.
Cayo Levantado Resort is dedicated to offering an expertly curated, distinctly Dominican, and decidedly authentic experience. Since the very start, there’s been an alliance with Forbes Travel Guide, the global authority on hospitality excellence, that provides world-class professional services to the hospitality industry and is the only independent, global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of this very unique nature’s enclave,” said Lluisa Salord, VP of Sales, Contracting and Distribution. “Cayo Levantado Resort is certainly an important benchmark in the Dominican Republic, a major sustainable innovation project taking shape with the help of local companies and talent in Samaná. This project not only adds value to the tourism sector, but also contributes to the development of the country and the local community.”
With this project as its flagship, Bahia Principe Hotel & Resorts evolved its business and entered the luxury hotel management segment with the aim of improving its offer and adding value to the tourism sector. One of the great strengths and differentiators behind Cayo Levantado is its cultural impact, which was done by incorporating talent from the Dominican Republic, thus contributing, and enhancing the economic and social development of the area.
A Journey to the Dominican Republic’s Newest Secluded Paradise
The island is made up of three incredible sandy and palm-fringed beaches, one being open to the public and two that are exclusively for guests staying at Cayo Levantado Resort.
Under the concept A Rhythm All Its Own, Cayo Levantado invites guests to discover the creative and architectural design of the resort, which will be based on three pillars:
- Local Culture: Local interior designers, architects and professionals took part in the development of the area, above all by integrating their local culture in all areas, including gastronomy and mixology.
- Sustainability: Waste management strategies and renewable energy through a biodigester will be implemented, making this a self-sufficient property. In addition, gardening, and landscaping with native species of the island will be used.
- Wellness: Promoted in a more integrative perspective, the wellness experience will be reflected in all spaces and services.
Quality and Exclusivity Guaranteed
Cayo Levantado Resort offers a unique great experience, with a superior approach to both service and amenities. Quality and exclusivity can be felt in each of the more than 200 rooms of different categories that make up the hotel.
With respect to the rest of its services, the resort offers two swimming pools, two spas (including a jungle spa), an outdoor CrossFit area, a beach club, a personal training studio, a beauty salon, botanic garden, a wide range of entertainment activities and an exclusive area focused on wellness. As part of the carefully selected all-inclusive gastronomic offer, guests may choose from three à la carte restaurants, one buffet restaurant, four bars and a coffee shop. Two additional specialty restaurants give visitors exciting dining options outside the all-inclusive offerings.
