GuestCentric lifts direct bookings by 25% with new architecture of hotel shopping

A brand new booking engine, chat messenger and shopping widgets drive consumer engagement and increase direct bookings.

NEW YORK, NY – GuestCentric, the leading provider of cloud-based digital marketing software for hotels has announced the launch of a new architecture of hotel shopping that integrates a redesigned version of its booking engine, its market-leading hotel messenger and shopping widgets.

The new shopping system is the result of GuestCentric’s continuous investment in experiments, usability tests and innovation as a way to provide hoteliers and guests with the best possible online solutions.

After testing the new version for several months on hundreds of hotel websites, the new set of features include a cleaner and a more attractive design; a bigger calendar and bolder images; interactive animations upon user actions; multi-device responsiveness; new user guidance, shopping activation and less clicks needed to book; and powerful shopping recovery mechanisms that enable email engagement of users that abandon the booking process.

"We increased our direct reservations by more than 25% since GuestCentric introduced the new shopping architecture”, said Goncalo Dias, General Manager at LX Boutique Hotel. “As hoteliers, we need always to stay a step ahead with the most powerful tools to increase our direct reservations, and GuestCentric has been an outstanding partner in this respect”.

Adoption of new technologies is quickly changing the way guests are making online decisions.

"Our aim is to provide a hotel shopping architecture that addresses the changing needs of users. We ran an extensive series of usability tests and are continually investing in A/B testing to ensure that our solution delivers an unrivalled user experience”, said Pedro Colaco, CEO of GuestCentric.

The brand new shopping architecture is immediately available and upgrade is free of charge for all GuestCentric premium customers.
