iBAHN announces strategic agreement with the Rezidor Hotel Group

iBAHN, the worldwide leader in digital entertainment and Internet solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries, announces the signing of a framework agreement with the Rezidor Hotel Group as one of the approved providers of High Speed Internet Access services for the group’s entire portfolio. Rezidor is the first international hotel company in Europe to offer Free High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) at all its Radisson Blu hotels and resorts since 2005.

iBAHN will provide wired and wireless internet to guestrooms, and for conferences and events with wireless provision in public areas for the group’s multi-brand hotel portfolio which includes Park Inn, Regent, Country Inn, Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Missoni.

Guests who need access to their corporate networks as well as those accessing the internet for pleasure will also find the highest standards of data security through iBAHN’s Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) offering, which eliminates the possibility of data theft and provides total separation between different wireless users.

iBAHN is already providing their HSIA services to The Regent Grand Hotel Bordeaux, France; the Radisson Blu Palace Hotel, Spa, Belgium; Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Heliopolis, Egypt; Radisson Blu Hotel, Alexandria, Egypt; and the Radisson Blu Dubai Marina Residence, United Arab Emirates.

Future installations include Radisson Blu hotels at Toulouse Airport, France; Erfurt and Leipzig in Germany, and Amsterdam city and Amsterdam Airport. Also included in the first iBAHN HSIA deployment are the Park Inn Alexanderplatz Berlin, Germany; Park Inn Muscat, Oman; and Park Inn Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

The Rezidor Hotel Group is one of the fastest growing hospitality management companies in the world with more than 380 hotels in operation and under development, featuring close to 81,000 rooms across Europe, Middle East and Africa in nearly 60 countries.

Johan Westberg, Senior Director Hotel Technologies at the Rezidor Hotel Group comments: “Rezidor is known for its innovative approach to hospitality and industry-leading service concepts. We started offering free HSIA at all Radisson Blu hotels and resorts as a minimum brand standard as early as 2005, realising that it will soon become a core requirement for a business traveller. We have chosen to nominate iBAHN as one of our approved vendors because of the company’s proven ability to deliver first-class services globally, backed by an extensive support network and a good value-for-money proposition.”

iBAHN’s MD EMEA Graeme Powell, comments: “iBAHN is proud to add the Rezidor Hotel Group to its portfolio of worldwide hotel partners and we are delighted to be working with one the fastest growing hotel groups in the world. Our first priority is to deliver the latest connectivity technology that will guarantee trouble-free and secure internet access services for the group’s hotels and guests.”
