Leading North Norfolk Hotel awarded Four Stars

The Blakeney Hotel has been upgraded from a three to four star hotel, following the AA’s recognition of its extensive refurbishment programme and enhanced service and menus.

Andrew Ford, senior hotel and restaurant inspector at AA, said: “The owners of the Blakeney Hotel understand that in today’s market the discerning guest demands more and more. To meet and exceed their demands, the owners have invested not only in the quality of the hotel, but also in the staff who provide services that exceed expectations. AA Hotel Services recognise this commitment and have awarded a four star rating.”

Recent investment at this family-run hotel on the north Norfolk coast has seen extensive refurbishment across most of its 63 bedrooms, with several suites converted into more flexible interconnecting rooms. Guests can now enjoy table service in all public areas and an enhanced room service, bar, terrace and restaurant menu.

Michael Stannard, owner of the Blakeney Hotel, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded four AA stars. We are a privately owned, family run hotel and receiving four stars is an endorsement of our ongoing commitment and investment. It is also a tribute to the hard work of our staff and everyone associated with the hotel.”

Located in beautiful surroundings with panoramic views across the estuary and salt marshes, the hotel also offers a seasonal dining menu rich in local produce, impressive leisure facilities, including a stylish indoor swimming pool.
