Newly upgraded beachfront resorts in Mexico offer expanded family amenities

Along with wellness activities and pools, there are bars, restaurants, nightclubs with theme parties and live entertainment with different performances every night of the week.

MIAMI – Viva Wyndham Azteca and Viva Wyndham Maya are all-inclusive oceanfront resorts located in the upmarket Playacar Complex of the Mayan Riviera, a pristine stretch of Caribbean coastline renowned for its beautiful hotels as well as its fine white-sand beaches. Both properties are TripAdvisor award recipients and have recently undergone major enhancements, with restaurant renovations, revamped public spaces and reconceptualized guest rooms.

Viva Wyndham Azteca has a refurbished pool area and has undergone a full upgrade of all room categories, including its Superior Rooms, which are now stylishly outfitted with heritage-rich, Mexican-inspired décor and boast stunning ocean, pool and garden views. Guests of this property get free access to all the amenities and facilities of its sister property, Viva Wyndham Maya. There are also delightful new perks at Viva Wyndham Maya, including a new coffee shop with diverse coffee specialties and snacks as well as a new sports bar outfitted with the best in tech where avid fans may enjoy the programming of their choice in comfort.

With Playa del Carmen recognized as one of the best tropical destinations for families, not only is it a favorite destination among couples, friends, and groups, but it’s also the perfect summer escape to explore and find things to do with kids. Guests of all ages are also welcome to enjoy a wide array of relaxing and fun-filled activities, including dozens of land and water sports (with equipment and instruction included), such as sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, tennis, paddleboarding, TRX, trapeze lessons for kids and adults and kids club for ages 4-12.

Along with wellness activities and pools, there are bars, restaurants, nightclubs with theme parties and live entertainment with different performances every night of the week. Authentic cultural experiences abound, including a weekly handicrafts market, Mexican cooking classes, dance lessons and more.

“Viva Wyndham is constantly expanding its guest offerings because we are dedicated to providing high quality and exceptional service at a great value. We want to give families the vacation of a lifetime at an affordable rate,” said Amanda Santana, Viva Wyndham’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s always our goal to exceed guests’ expectations and provide a one-of-a-kind experience that guests will remember for years to come”.
