The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna will open on 27th August, 2012 with Matthias Vogt as General Manager. The first hotel of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in Austria will feature 202 stylish guest rooms and suites, one restaurant, a lobby lounge, a hotel bar and a breathtaking rooftop terrace.
The five star hotel is located in four historic palaces which date back to the 19th century and are culturally protected. Located in the heart of the city on famous Ring Boulevard, the hotel is only minutes away from major sights like Hofburg and the Imperial Apartments, the Imperial Riding School, St. Stephen’s Cathedral or baroque St. Charles’s Church. For lovers of music and culture, the Viennese State Opera, world famous Musikverein or Konzerthaus, where legendary musical performances take place as well as museums like Albertina with the world’s grandest collection of graphic art are within walking distance of The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna. Shopping streets like upscale Graben and Kohlmarkt or Mariahilferstra?e which attracts a younger crowd are easily reached as well.
The spacious rooms and suites offer individual character and a spectacular view over the city or into a serene courtyard. The 190m2 Presidential Suite is the largest of all 43 Suites and combines traditional architecture with stylish interior design.

The restaurant Dstrikt will offer classic Austrian cuisine with a main focus on local products. A terrace during summer months, traditionally called ‘Schanigarten’ in Vienna, will also be available. In the Lobby Lounge Melounge, a la carte lunch and dinner will be served, as well as traditional coffee and fabulous Austrian cakes in the afternoon. The Hotelbar 10zehn, with beautiful views onto the Ring Boulevard, offers an extensive range of beverages. Atmosphere, the roof top bar and lounge, will be open in the afternoon until 9.30 p.m. and will offer spectacular views over the city of Vienna and will be the hot spot for locals as well as international guests.
The sumptuous Spa with six treatment rooms, two of them equipped for couples, will cater to the needs of the most discerning guests with exclusive treatments for face and body. Two separate Health Areas for Ladies and Gentlemen offer sauna, steam bath and heated relaxation beds. The fully equipped Fitness Centre and the 18m indoor steel swimming pool with underwater music are also available for guests staying at the hotel.
Furthermore the hotel features a total of 900m2 of elegant conference space including the marvelous Crystal Ballroom, two boardrooms and three meeting rooms which are fully equipped with the latest technology.
The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna will join eight other hotels in the region to expand the company’s global presence in Europe.
