Valencia Group grows portfolio with Pegasus Solutions

Lone Star Court and Hotel Sorella Country Club Join Pegasus Connect+.

DALLAS – Award-winning hotel operator, Valencia Group, has signed its two newest hotels with Pegasus Solutions, including Lone Star Court in Austin, TX and Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO. The hotels join the trio of Valencia Group hotels already available in the global distribution systems (GDSs) under the “UI” chain code.

“With the imminent opening of both the Lone Start Court and Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza, we needed to make these hotels available quickly to a broad booking audience,” said Wendy Norris, corporate director of revenue and ecommerce for Valencia Group. “Given the success of our other hotels with Pegasus Connect+, it was an easy decision to expand our agreement to include these two new hotels.”

Valencia Group, a Texas-based corporation that acquires, develops, and manages character-rich hotels that incorporate worldly design and local culture, is committed to “Timeless Hospitality.” A new court-concept by Valencia Group made its debut in Austin on Christmas Eve, with an authentically Austin and Texas Hill Country aesthetic from the art in the rooms to the unique outdoor environment. Lone Star Court has 123 retro-inspired guest rooms with high-tech amenities. True to Austin, the hotel features live music by an outdoor firepit, a dipping pool reminiscent of Hill Country swimming holes, and an onsite food trailer court.

Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza, the first expansion of the Sorella concept, opened on November 6. The hotel is designed to evoke the luxury and romance of a Mediterranean villa, while playfully meshing both classic and contemporary elements. The hotel will serve as a sophisticated addition to Kansas City’s famed Country Club Plaza shopping and entertainment district, which was inspired by the architecture of Seville, Spain. The Kansas City gem features 132 luxuriously appointed guestrooms with nine suites, including a Presidential.

“We’ve had a long and profitable relationship with Valencia Group that has laid a solid foundation for this expansion,” said Chris Wichers, chief sales officer of Pegasus Solutions. “The brand’s team has taken advantage of all the revenue-producing opportunities available with Pegasus Connect+. As a result, bookings have grown along with the overall business – a trend we expect will continue with these two new hotels.”

With Pegasus Connect+, the full Valencia portfolio uses RVNG, the only central reservations system built to manage selling hotel rooms in the Internet age. Each of the five hotels also leverages one seamless connection to the four GDSs, and more than 1,000 travel websites.
