Visual Matrix and Shift4 Payments partner to implement EMV payment protection at U.S. hotels

Secure EMV payment processing has become a priority for hoteliers seeking mobile and touchless experiences for customers.

RICHARDSON, TX – Visual Matrix, an industry leading hotel property management software providing an all-in-one PMS with revenue management, channel management, and operational tools, has announced the completion of an agreement with Shift4 Payments to offer enhanced payment processing capabilities to Visual Matrix PMS hotel customers.

As part of the enhanced integration, each of Visual Matrix’s more than 2,000 hoteliers can choose to access Shift4’s end-to-end payment solution seamlessly though Visual Matrix. This all-in-one payment offering includes Shift4’s secure platform with PCI-validated point-to-point encryption as well as free hardware, contactless solutions, and a wide range of value-added services to meet all the payment needs of the hospitality environment.

Secure EMV payment processing has become a priority for hoteliers seeking mobile and touchless experiences for customers. This creates a secure method for hotels to store and use credit card information, without the risk of exposing sensitive customer data. Shift4’s payment processing technologies – including QR Pay – allow the Visual Matrix PMS to facilitate a fully contactless payment experience, a trend that has gained in popularity following the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are excited to partner with Shift4 to provide the highest level of payment security to all of our hotel partners,” said Georgine Muntz, CEO of Visual Matrix. “Shift4’s offer to include hardware and preferred pricing to our hotelier customers is critical as they emerge from a tough pandemic recovery period.”

“As the leader in payment processing for the hospitality industry, Shift4 prides itself on delivering a superior commerce experience for both hotels and their guests. We are honored to work with Visual Matrix to provide a secure end-to-end solution for all of their hotel partners,” said Michael Isaacman, Shift4’s Chief Commercial Officer.
