Canadian Affair triples travel trade team – 18th April 2019.

Canadian Affair, the UK’s expert holiday company to Canada, is tripling the size of its travel trade team following a successful first six months of sales to agents. The tour operator, which commenced sales to the trade in October 2018, has appointed Helen Tate and Stephanie Robertson as Travel Trade Sales Executives.

Helen will be based in Devon, covering sales in the South West of England, whilst Stephanie will be based in the Greater Manchester area, with responsibility for driving sales in Northern England. The new team members, who join Canadian Affair this week, report to the company’s Travel Trade Manager, Jane Fraser, who took up her role in February.

Helen Tate has over 30 years’ travel industry experience, much of it in senior sales roles at tour operators and agents including The Travel Corporation, Titan Travel and Travelworld.

Since 2000, Stephanie Robertson has held a range of travel industry sales and business development positions at companies including The Holiday Team, All Leisure Holidays, Insight Vacations and Trafalgar Tours.

Jane Fraser is a proven Canada sales specialist having spent ten years as the UK’s Travel Trade Representative for Destination British Columbia developing and maintaining relationships with the travel trade, before joining Insight Vacations as Sales Manager. She started her career at Thomas Cook Travel Management in 1992.

Lee Rogers, Canadian Affair’s Product and Commercial Director, who leads its travel trade engagement programme, says: “Our first six months working with the travel trade have exceeded expectations, and we have started to build relationships with hundreds of agents across the UK.”

“Canadian Affair values these relationships greatly and with their mix of experience and proven industry track records, Jane, Helen and Stephanie will play a crucial role in developing our travel industry engagement programme and delivering exceptional Canada holiday experiences to agents’ customers.”

Canadian Affair is renowned for its market-leading prices and buying power and now offers them to the travel trade, delivering rate parity and extensive availability. This, combined with the breadth and depth of experience of Canadian Affair and its team, enables the tour operator to create bespoke holiday experiences and packages for its travel trade partners and their customers right across Canada.

Throughout 2019, Canadian Affair is planning a wide range of activity for its travel trade partners, including roadshow events across the UK, and a series of fam trips to different parts of Canada to showcase its versatility and appeal as a holiday destination.
