Starting May 1st, Emirates’ Boeing 777 aircrafts fly twice a day from Athens to Dubai International Airport.
ATHENS – On May 1st, Emirates has added a second daily flight from Athens to Dubai, responding to the augmented demand for the particular service, increasing passenger seats and cargo capacity even further.
Responding to passenger demand for increased frequencies and capacity, the Dubai based carrier has launched launch the second daily flight on May 1st 2017. The new flight, ΕΚ103, departs Dubai at 16:20 arriving in Athens at 20:25. The return flight, ΕΚ 104, departs from Athens at 23:20 and arrives in Dubai at 04:55 the following day.
Emirates has operated in Greece since 1996 initially with 3 weekly flights, gradually building up the number of flights and size of aircraft to meet the positive demand of the Greek travelling community. The extra service is expected to provide more seamless connections for business and leisure passengers travelling from Athens to the Middle East, Far East, Australasia and Africa.
Less than two months after the launch of the daily, year-round Athens-New York service, the second daily flight is responding to the growing demand of passengers for the particular itinerary, and indicates the strong bonds between Emirates and Greece.
Commenting on the new flight, Country Manager of Emirates in Greece Reema Al Marzooqi said: “Emirates in Greece has had a very successful year, with the launching of the direct, year-round Athens-New York service being the absolute highlight of the industry so far. Now, we are introducing a double daily service to Dubai, bringing Emirates’ home city even closer to Athens, as demanded by our increasing, enthusiastic passengers. We are more than confident that the second daily service will be well supported by the Greek market, as it responds to travelers’ needs”.
