Events related to online slots in 2020

The biggest kind of event relating to slots in any given year has to be a slot tournament.

There are usually lots of different events related to online slots scheduled each year, but of course, 2020, the year of COVID-19, has meant that many had to be cancelled. We still don’t know what the rest of the year is going to bring either, so even those that are currently set up and ready to go might not be able to actually go ahead. However, let’s talk about what might have been and what might still be, in the hopes that we can all get back to normal very soon – click and play.

Slot tournaments
The biggest kind of event relating to slots in any given year has to be a slot tournament. There are usually lots organised, and the great thing about them is they are usually virtual, meaning they can still go ahead no matter what kind of lockdown measures might be in force in the country (and world) in general.

Added to this is the fact that slot tournaments are very easy to arrange, and can be quickly organised, so if a casino needs to add some profits to their bottom line, or there is a hole in the schedule in some way, an extra slot tournament can be put in place and players will be happy to sign up for it.

If you’re unsure of what you can do and you’re feeling bored, and if you enjoy the thrill of slots, searching out a slot tournament is a good idea; there is sure to be one happening in the near future.

New games
New games aren’t exactly an event, and they don’t launch in the same way that films do, for example, but if you’re looking for something new to play and you keep up to date with what is happening in the industry, then you can make any new game’s launch into an event if you want to. Invite people round (keeping to the rules – this may have to be done via video chat), have some good food, and be one of the first to play any new slot game that looks like it’s going to appeal.

Something that makes 2020 into a good year rather than a bad one (at least in terms of gaming) is the sheer number of new releases that have been coming out. Just some of these include:

  • Pink Elephants 2
  • Secrets of the Temple
  • The Vault
  • Hot Cross Bunnies: Game Changer
  • All Win FC
  • Electric Avenue

The Global Gaming Expo
Every year the Global Gaming Expo becomes somewhere that lover of online gaming and technology are sure to want to attend. This year it runs between 5th and 8th October, and it would have been in Las Vegas, but this is going to be slightly different this year – it is going to be a virtual experience rather than a physical one.

Rather perfectly, because the expo is all about technology and the online space, the virtual set up should be amazing, and in fact, many more people are going to be able to attend than if it was a physical exhibition.
