Finikia Residence: Renovated “canava” in Santorini joins Aria Hotels

Latest property enhances Aria’s collection of authentic escapes on the island.

Athens – Always ready to provide visitors with authentic experiences and effortless charm, the privately-owned boutique hotel and villas company Aria Hotels has added another property of historic and architectural significance to its portfolio of properties on Santorini, with Finikia Residence in Santorini’s Finikia district, close to the iconic town of Oia.

Typically of Aria Hotels, the property has a rich history. In the past, it operated as a traditional winery or ‘canava’ and sold both wine and bread. Nowadays, the impressive space has been turned into a self-contained holiday home and separate studio, which can be rented independently or as a single property accommodating up to six people.

A great choice for discerning travellers, the residence has been renovated with meticulous attention to detail, featuring diverse architectural influences, including rare pieces and artifacts, collected by the sea captains that used to live in the property.

Finikia Main House is easily accessible and offers hours of relaxation for up to 4 people. It consists of a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a WC, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with a fireplace and two sofa beds which can accommodate two people. Its most impressive feature is a courtyard offering total privacy, as well as a spacious veranda with a large built-in jacuzzi with views of seven neighboring islands (Folegandros, Sikinos, Ios, Iraklia, Schinoussa, Koufonisia and Amorgos).

The second dwelling, Finikia Studio, is completely separate from the main house, and can accommodate up to two people. It consists of an open plan living area, with a shower and a separate WC.

Combined with the beauty of the scenery, the successful blend of “old” and “new” makes Finikia Residence a unique choice for a summer getaway.

Aria Hotels has numerous hotels and villas in exceptional destinations of unique natural beauty throughout Greece. Following the recent establishment of Aria Hotels in Spain, guests will soon be able to sample a new flavour of authentic hospitality. Aria locations are chosen to appeal to discerning travellers looking for discreet hideaways.
