Hotels can bring an engaging voice control experience for in-room control, and easy access to hotel services.

NEW YORK, NY – Premier hospitality integration firm Mode:Green announces an official partnership with voice-based guest engagement company Volara, to bring hotels and their guests voice control of room thermostats, lighting, and hotel services by combining custom automation and software solutions.

The partnership makes personalized hospitality voice control available on a single interface, which can be tailored to suit any hotel and its guests. Voice control is a natural method of control in the hotel room to create a more comfortable stay for guests with easy temperature, entertainment, or lighting control, as well as interaction with services such as housekeeping, concierge, valet, and room service. Voice control in the hotel rooms is enabled through an integrated system such as lighting, temperature, sensors, speakers, TVs, do-not-disturb status, and door locks installed by Mode:Green, facilitated by the Volara-powered hardware such as Amazon Echo, Google Home, or others that connect with a natural-language processing platform.

Mode:Green and Volara tested the solution successfully in guestrooms a Control4 automation system installed by Mode:Green for lighting and temperature control. With Volara, the bellman escorts guests to the room and says, “Welcome our guest,” to open the shades, activate several light fixtures, and play a recorded message with a personal greeting from the hotel’s general manager.

“Mode:Green continuously looks to new technologies to enhance the guest experience, and we’ve had our eye on voice control as a natural control method in this environment,” commented Bill Lally, president of Mode:Green. “Integrating our guestroom automation systems with Volara’s easy-to-use voice control helps us bring an end-to-end solution for hotels to deliver a new experience for their guests, as well as new capabilities for room activity and energy monitoring.”

“Volara’s voice-based guest engagement solution provides a fun and frictionless way to engage hotel guests. Our voice-hub allows the seamless integration of other hotel technologies that can drive real efficiencies and an ROI for our hotel clients. Our collaboration with Mode:Green enables a more immersive hotel experience for guests, as well as a seamless, hassle free, and fully integrated deployment for hotel management and staff,” said David Berger, CEO of Volara.
