Red Sea Riviera hotspot launches first pet-friendly hotel

The hotel’s 88 guest rooms and suites have been designed with modern furniture and all come with unparalleled panoramic views of the desert mountains and crystal-clear sea waters.

Somabay, the Red Sea Riviera hotspot, announce that the newest addition to the Cascades family, The Lodge by Cascades, has officially opened its doors. The hotel is a budget-friendly extension of 5* The Cascades Golf Resort, Spa and Thalasso, offering affordable rooms with the same service quality. Situated at the highest point of the Somabay peninsula, The Lodge by Cascades is also the destination’s first pet-friendly hotel, making it easier for pet owners to escape for longer…

The launch of The Lodge by Cascades marks a new era for Somabay; demonstrating the leading winter sun destination’s commitment to providing luxury-serviced accommodation at an affordable price tag. The hotel’s 88 guest rooms and suites have been designed with modern furniture and all come with unparalleled panoramic views of the desert mountains and crystal-clear sea waters. Guests will be able to sample authentic dishes at the hotel’s stylish new The Garden restaurant, and have access to a heated pool, pool bar, the hotel’s own private beach and a hair salon. Further in room amenities include satellite TV, WIFI, air conditioning and laundry and dry-cleaning service.

Hotel guests can also make the most of the facilities at The Cascades Golf Resort, Spa and Thalasso including; the largest thalasso spa in the whole of Africa named The Cascades Spa & Thalasso, the 18-hole Championship golf course designed by golfing legend Gary Player, and the neighbouring hotel’s fitness studio, kids’ soft-play area and many dining venues available.

Outside of the hotel, there are plenty of opportunities to try something new and be adventurous. At the 7Bft Kitehouse, guests can enjoy some of the best kitesurfing conditions in the world due to the consistent strong winds, while at the Orca Dive Centre, beginners and seasoned pros alike can dive or snorkel with the Red Sea’s abundance of marine life. Banana boat rides stand up paddle boarding, and wakeboarding are also on offer to fill your days, or for those taking a break from the water, beach volleyball, squash and tennis are popular alternatives.
