Ryanair launches new Burgas base

Ryanair announced a new Burgas base, opening at the end of March, the second in Bulgaria and 87th in Europe, initially with one based aircraft and 10 routes, which will deliver 250,000 customers p.a. and support 200 jobs at Burgas Airport.

Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 airline, on September 19th announced it will open a new base at Burgas (No.87), from the end of March, with 1 aircraft (an investment of $100m) and 10 new routes, which will deliver over 250,000 customers p.a. and support 200 “on-site” jobs at Burgas Airport, its second Bulgarian base. 

Ryanair’s Burgas summer 2018 schedule will deliver:

  • 1 based aircraft ($100m investment)
  • 10 routes: Bratislava (2 wkly), Dusseldorf Weeze (2), Frankfurt Hahn (2), Krakow (2), Memmingen (2), Milan Bergamo (2), Riga (2), Rzeszow (1), Tel Aviv (2) & Warsaw Modlin (2)
  • 250,000 customers p.a.
  • 200* on-site jobs

Bulgarian consumers and visitors can now book their holidays as far out as October 2018, on even lower fares, and enjoy the latest “Always Getting Better” improvements including:

  • Reduced checked-in bag fees – one €25 fee, one 20kg size
  • 20 Air Europa long haul routes from Madrid on sale on Ryanair.com
  • Connecting flights at Rome Fiumicino and Milan Bergamo with more airports to follow
  • A new partnership with Erasmus Network offering students discounts & a dedicated booking platform
  • Alexa voice recognition to search flights, hotels and flight status on the Ryanair website
