Welcome Pickups expands its in-destination transportation services in Italy

Operations now in Florence and Venice.

In-destination travel provider and world-leading ground transportation solution, Welcome Pickups, has extended its operations within Italy with services now available in Florence and Venice. This new launch now brings the company’s total operations to 60 destinations around the world.

Welcome Pickups already operates in Rome, Milan and Naples and has been present in the Italian market since March 2016. Despite the current travel climate, Italy has remained a top destination for travellers using the service. Rome, in particular, has been the second popular worldwide destination for all Welcome Pickup users this year.

“Even during this period of strict travel regulations, we’ve helped thousands of travellers to reach their destination safely and hassle-free in Italy. We are now adding two more cities, famous for their art and architecture, in order to accommodate not only international but also domestic travellers”, says Alex Trimis – Founder and CEO, Welcome Pickups.

The addition of two more Italian cities will expand not only the company’s service offerings but will provide visitors to these cities with the option of personalised transportation experiences for trips such as airport transfers and sightseeing rides. Welcome Pickups have been recruiting some of the best and most trusted drivers in Venice and Florence to offer the best possible rides for their passengers. Allowing drivers who are proud of where they live, to make travellers feel welcome and fall in love with their home.

Welcome Pickups also plans to engage local accommodation providers, giving them the ability automate transfer arrangements and collect guest data to personalise guest stays, while simultaneously generating an additional stream of revenue. Welcome Pickups has plans to continue its expansion into new destinations this year, with more launches in Europe and the Americas in the works.
