VisitBrighton and the Brighton Centre have secured a two year deal which will see an estimated £8 million worth of economic benefit for the city when the Public and Commercial Service (PCS) Union’s annual conference comes to the city in 2010 and again in 2011.
As the UK’s 5th largest trade union both conferences will attract over 1000 delegates to the week long programme which will determine the PCS’s policies and priorities for the year ahead. The annual conference represents PCS’s largest gathering of the members and is a significant event in the union’s calendar.
Speaking of the recent win Julia Gallagher, Convention Bureau Manager, VisitBrighton said; “In a difficult economic, it is rewarding to see that the city is not only winning business but re-booking them too.
“Our city and our community have a consistent and proven track record for delivering spectacular events. We understand the importance of such events to the city that’s why we work so hard to make Brighton & Hove so attractive, accessible and competitive to organisers.”
