Qatar Airways launches “Premium One” service with the addition of an A319 to Qatar Executive’s fleet

Qatar Airways’ second All-Premium Class Airbus A319 to join Qatar Executive’s charter fleet in mid-February 2015. “Premium One” service now available for charter to meet rising demand for luxury group and incentive travels.

DOHA, QATAR – Qatar Airways announced that it will add an all-Premium Class Airbus A319 to its growing corporate jet fleet, Qatar Executive, to meet the rising demand for charter luxury group and incentive travel.

The Premium One A319, which is identical to the Qatar Airways Business One product operating on a daily basis between Doha and London Heathrow, will be available for charter starting 17 February through the airline’s corporate jet division, Qatar Executive.

The Airbus A319 can be booked to destinations around the globe with completely customised schedules, allowing for more flexibility and the option to reach remote or multiple locations in the shortest amount of time in ultimate comfort. Passengers are offered an exclusive private jet experience, award-winning service, spacious and bespoke cabins, and world-class cuisine.

The 40-seat Premium One aircraft, which has a single aisle, a 2-2 seating configuration, and a range of up to 3,700 nm/6,850 km, can easily connect destinations throughout the Middle East with major cities in Europe, Africa and South Asia.

The seats recline and convert into 79-inch long fully-flat beds, which come with elegant Italian Frette linen and duvets. Each seat further provides generous space for work or rest, and comes equipped with power outlets, WIFI, GSM services, USB port, audio sockets and LED lighting.

The inflight Oryx entertainment system features the same options available on Qatar Airways, over 1000 choices of movies, music and games. Personal entertainment can be enjoyed with the latest-generation systems and noise-cancelling headphones.

The chartered Premium One service also includes access to executive airport facilities and concierge services in both Doha and abroad.

The exclusive Premium One Airbus A319 will be of interest to tour operators and wedding groups, who can design exclusively tailored and experiential travel journeys for their guests and clients. In addition, corporations, business delegations, musicians or sports teams can seamlessly travel and connect their journeys with maximum comfort.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “The demand for charter services continues to grow and therefore we have introduced this Premium One A319 to our Qatar Executive fleet to further strengthen the proposition of Qatar Executive, which is providing convenience and choice in the category of private travel.”

Qatar Executive’s Executive Vice President David Edwards remarked: “We look forward to meeting the requirements of private customers, corporations and luxury tour operators with this exclusive product. Demand for Business Class group travel has increased and this aircraft is ideally positioned to fill the gap in the market, particularly in the Middle East region.”

The new A319 will join the growing fleet of Qatar Executive, offering exclusive private group travel to VIP passengers.

Apart from the Premium One Airbus A319, Qatar Executive also operates a wholly-owned fleet of eight Bombardier business jets, including four Global 5000s – among them two Global 5000 Visions, three Challenger 605s and one Global XRS with a capacity of up to 13 passengers.

Over the last five years, Qatar Executive has propelled its private jet business into a global player on the corporate jet circuit, with a comprehensive business aviation service portfolio, comprising not just worldwide on-demand charters, but also airliner charters, Fixed Base Operation (FBO) and maintenance services at its “Bombardier-Authorised Service Facility” in Doha. Since its launch in 2009, Qatar Executive has offered charter services to most locations worldwide, including those beyond the existing Qatar Airways’ network.

Qatar Airways to add a new frequency to Singapore
Qatar Airways is to launch an additional daily flight to Singapore from June 1, 2015, as part of its global expansion drive and to cater to the increase in passenger demand.

The airline has also announced that it will be operating the new additional flight and the existing two daily flights to Singapore with its third, fourth and fifth A350 XWB aircraft, commencing service in June, July and August 2015. With this, Qatar Airways will become the first airline to operate the A350 XWB to Singapore and the Asia Pacific.

Global launch customer Qatar Airways’ first A350 XWB, which is one of 80 on order, is currently operating on the Doha–Frankfurt route. The airline’s second A350, joining the fleet in February, will also commence operations on the Frankfurt route beginning March 1, 2015.

With the additional frequency and by operating the world’s newest wide-body aircraft to Singapore, Qatar Airways will further strengthen its position in one of the leading business cities in the Asia Pacific region as a world-class airline providing passengers with a premium travel experience.

The new daily flight will be departing Doha at 20:25 hrs and arrive in Singapore the next day at 09:15 hrs, followed by a quick turnaround from Singapore at 10:40 hrs and returning to Doha the same day at 13:15 hrs.

“Qatar Airways is proud to be the first airline in the world to introduce the next generation A350 XWB aircraft to Asia, redefining the travel experience of our passengers,” said Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker.

“We are also delighted to add another flight to this important and strategic route which will provide our Singapore-based passengers with even more options when they travel on business or leisure to key destinations in Europe and the Americas that include London, Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, Milan, New York, Chicago and Houston.”

As one of the world’s leading business hubs, passengers to and from Singapore are sure to take advantage of Qatar Airways’ triple-daily flights with the A350 XWB, particularly given its impressive features and its innovative product design, environmental advances and the intrinsic comfort of its entirely new cabin set-up.

Passengers will benefit from the new boarding experience achieved by the unique dome-design entrance with welcome light distribution. The aircraft also offers wide seats with generous room in all classes of service thanks to a number of design developments.

The Business Class cabin has 36 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration featuring an 80” full flat bed and 17” HD in-flight entertainment screen. The Economy Class features 247 18-inch wide seats in a 3-3-3 configuration, each with a 10.6” in-flight entertainment screen, and more space at shoulder level for passengers in window seats due to the vertical side wall panel design.

The aircraft features the state-of-the-art Oryx entertainment system, with more than 1,000 entertainment options on individual screens in all classes. The A350 XWB also offers advanced air conditioning technology and LED mood lighting to enhance the comfort of passengers while reducing fatigue after a long flight, as well as in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity for all passengers allowing them to surf the web on the go.

Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 18 years of operation, to the point where today it is flying a modern fleet of 146 aircraft to 146 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
