CruisesOnly, a wholly owned subsidiary of MyTravel USA, has opened a South Florida regional sales office in Miramar, Florida, just north of Miami, the cruising capital of the world. CruisesOnly moved to the new state-of-theart facility in November 2002. Initially, the office is home to 145 employees, yet capacity is expected to grow to 262 in the next two years. The company plans to create at least 50 new jobs in its Miramar facility during 2003. The new regional office is a consolidation of two existing facilities that operated in Miami and Aventura. The brand new office is 32,000-square-feet and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The new Miramar facility will utilise the proprietary million-dollar reservation system, Cruise Control, allowing agents to research and compare multiple prices and products instantly. Administrative operations, such as quality control, back office functions and ticketing will be handled by the CruisesOnly shared services facility in Orlando. This will ensure quality control and maximise all efficiencies of the booking and fulfilment process.
