Baltic CONVENE joins forces with newcomer Air Lituanica

CONVENE, the Baltic Sea Region meetings industry convention, has announced a partnership with the new national airline Air Lituanica.

CONVENE is intended to accelerate the development of the Baltic Sea Region as a base for international meetings, conventions and incentive programme trips in the private and public sector. In February 2014, its second year, it will again feature a Hosted Buyer Programme that allows buyers to visit the convention with many complimentary benefits. Chief among these is the chance to be one of the first to experience flying with Air Lituanica.

Hosted Buyers will also receive accommodation, transfers, invitations and events, plus a personalised diary of meetings with regional suppliers. While the programme is still open for buyers to register, places are filling up quickly, so the organisers are encouraging buyers to hurry.

This year, the countries of the Baltic Sea Region – Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Poland and Russia – will also be joined by exhibitors from Sweden, which the organisers say will make the event even more important for buyers to visit.

Exhibition Director, Jolanta Beniuliene, said: “Air Lituanica is the perfect partner for us, since their values – to connect forward-thinking Lithuania with the rest of Europe – align exactly with CONVENE’s. I am certain that our Hosted Buyers will appreciate the level of service they will enjoy from Air Lituanica during their visit.

“With the addition of Swedish suppliers to CONVENE 2014, our event is going to be even bigger and better than last year. We look forward to welcoming the whole of Europe to the beautiful city of Vilnius in February.”

CONVENE 2014, run by Vilnius Convention Bureau, will be held from 12 – 13 February 2014 at the LITEXPO convention centre in Vilnius, a World Heritage city, and will feature 160 Hosted Buyers from countries across Europe. Visitors will benefit from a full professional education programme, as well as meetings, networking events, and familiarisation trips to Baltic Sea Region destinations.
