The fully-refurbished five star Divani  Apollon Palace hotel in Kavouri, south of Athens, recently held its official opening ceremony .
Operating since July last year, it has a whole new look and is ideally situated and equipped for conferences and holidays. Renovations costing three billion drachmas were completed at the end of last summer.
The Divani Apollon Palace has 286 rooms, seven of which are luxury suites, while all have a balcony with sea view. Most importantly, they are fitted with all modern facilities for the business traveller, including satellite TV, voicemail, data ports, ISDN lines, a second telephone in the bathroom and a safe.
It has four multi-use rooms which can cater for up to 1,500 and large foyers, allowing it to meet the needs of the most demanding conference.
Set on eight stremmata of gardens, the hotel also has two pools, hydromassage, tennis courts, a basketball court and full children’s playground. By spring, the firm hopes to have established a centre offering thalassotherapy, healthy living choices and more sporting activities.
The group now has seven hotel units with a total bed capacity of 3,000, 2,000 of which are located in Athens and fall under the luxury category.
Owners Caravel AE has applied for a listing on the Athens bourse through which it intends to offer 25 percent of its stocks in order to increase its share capital.
