As part of the program, Posadas de España has contributed to the planting of 400 trees in disadvantaged areas of the planet, helping reforestation, fighting against climate change, and showing its support for local communities.
The British group Quartz Inn Hotels has announced its alliance with the Spanish hotel chain Posadas de España, who has joined its program to save energy, water and chemicals.
With this alliance, Posadas de España aims to reinforce its commitment to the environment in its 4 hotels, located in Malaga, Cartagena (Murcia), Pinto (Madrid) and Paterna (Valencia).
Waiving unnecessary room cleaning
Guests of Posadas de España will be able to request that their room cleaning not be performed when it is not necessary, and as a thank you for their collaboration in protecting and maintaining the environment, they will receive a digital certificate of tree planting in their name, indicating the amount of CO2 compensated, the place of planting and an explanation of the benefit of tree planting in these areas.
On average, 35 liters of water, 100 ml of chemicals, and 1.5 kWh of electricity are used in cleaning a hotel room.

Quartz Inn Hotels has nearly 100 hotels participating in its energy-saving program throughout Europe, including some in Spain such as Royal Sun Resort in Tenerife, Hotel San Juan de los Reyes and Hotel Carlos V in Toledo, and Hotel Del Pintor in Malaga, among others.
