Wyndham will enter the Greek islands with a new upper-upscale hotel in Crete, Wyndham Grand Mirabello, adding the renowned Mirabello Beach & Village to the Wyndham Grand brand. In addition, a new upscale Wyndham hotel will open in Nicosia, Cyprus – Wyndham Nicosia – which will mark Wyndham’s debut in the country.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality leader with a global presence of nearly 9,000 hotels across more than 80 countries, and Zeus International, the fastest growing company in Greece providing consulting, hotel management and hotel development services, announce an agreement to brand two new additions under the Wyndham Grand and Wyndham flags, marking Wyndham’s entry into both Crete and Cyprus. In 2017 Wyndham and Zeus announced a partnership to develop 20 hotels over 10 years across Greece, Cyprus, Italy and the Balkans.  Over the past 18 months, the two companies have already identified 8 of these hotels and opened 6 of them (including the recently opened Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Grand Residences in downtown Athens) – with two now to open in the coming months.

Wyndham will enter the Greek islands with a new upper-upscale hotel in Crete, Wyndham Grand Mirabello, adding the renowned Mirabello Beach & Village to the Wyndham Grand brand. This seaside resort and meetings destination  is located minutes from Agios Nikolaos in the famed Elounda region of Crete. The hotel has 311 guest rooms, over 6,000 square feet  (520 sq.m.) of meeting space, 5 restaurants and bars in unique locations, swimming pools, a spa, a gym, a variety of sports facilities such as tennis courts, a basketball court, beach volleyball and also a mini club for children and a wide variety of water sports for visitors of all ages. All of this is spread across two of the Region’s most popular beaches for sunning, swimming and boating.

In addition, a new upscale Wyndham hotel will open in Nicosia, Cyprus – Wyndham Nicosia – which will mark Wyndham's debut in the country. The hotel will occupy a privileged location in the center of the Cypriot capital, within the city's Venetian Walls, very close to the shopping centre and the Liberty Square. With 140 high-quality rooms and suites, 7 conference rooms with a total capacity of 1200 attendees, 2 restaurants and bars with an impressive roof top overlooking the city of Nicosia, spa, fitness center and plenty of facilities, this new hotel will become a landmark for Cypriot tourism, as one of the largest city hotels in Nicosia. This hotel belongs to National Pangaia SA, the largest real estate investment company in Greece. Zeus International will undertake the reconstruction and operation of the property, which will feature the architectural interventions of Neni Spartsi and the Schema4 architects office, which has undertaken the overall design.

Both hotels will further boost employment in their local regions, as more than 400 people are expected to be recruited.

“Zeus International has become an incredibly important and strategic partner for us in the Mediterranean region and we are very excited about these two new additions to our portfolio,” said Geoff Ballotti, president and CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “In 2018 we introduced our signature meetings and events brand, Dolce, in Attica Riviera – our first Dolce hotel in Greece – and opened the Wyndham Athens Residence, our first mixed-use concept in Greece. We see tremendous growth potential in this region and have ambitious plans to continue expanding our footprint and introducing new brands. Our partnership with Zeus will be instrumental in helping us reach all of these milestones.”

"We feel great joy and satisfaction as Zeus International's strategic partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts expands,” stated Mr. Haris Siganos, founder of Zeus International. “Two new upscale hotels in Mirabello and Nicosia will grow our hotel 'family' and introduce our high quality services and our excellent hospitality in Crete and Cyprus, two areas with a very developed touristic product, from which guests will have high expectations. We aim to reach these expectations with our two new hotels that Zeus International will have the pleasure to manage."

These two new hotels in Crete and Cyprus will both participate in Wyndham Rewards®, the simple-to-use, revolutionary loyalty programme from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts which offers more than 58 million members around the world a generous points earning structure along with a flat, free-night redemption rate – the first of its kind for a major hotel rewards programme.
