Fairmont Dallas introduces Benjamin De La Rosa as Director of Revenue Management and Christina Mertz as Director of Catering and Conference Services

In his new role, Benjamin De La Rosa will oversee all revenue management operations at Fairmont Dallas. Christina Mertz will oversee Catering and Conference Services for the 545-room hotel, which is home to several major annual conferences in Dallas.

DALLAS – Fairmont Dallas welcomes two staff members to new positions in 2023, Benjamin De La Rosa has been appointed Director of Revenue Management and Christina Mertz has been promoted to Director of Catering and Conference Services.

In his new role, De La Rosa will oversee all revenue management operations at Fairmont Dallas. He most recently worked as a Revenue Specialist at Hilton properties, and prior to that, he was the Housekeeping Director at Hilton San Diego Bayfront; Laundry Supervisor, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Front Desk Supervisor at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club in La Jolla, CA. De La Rosa brings over 10 years of hospitality experience and leadership to his new position.

Dave Martinez, Director of Sales and Marketing for Fairmont Dallas, was eager to promote Christina Mertz to Director of Catering and Conference Services from her previous role as Assistant Director of Catering & Conference Services, a role in which she was instrumental to the overall success of the team. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, Mertz will oversee Catering and Conference Services for the 545-room hotel, which is home to several major annual conferences in Dallas.

Mertz brings over twenty years of experience to the position, including experience from several previous roles in management positions in Catering and Conference Service Departments. She has previously served as the Director of Special Events at Goldman Properties in Miami, FL, Senior Catering & Group Sales Manager at both The Setai and The Raleigh Hotel, and Director of Catering and Convention Services at b.

“I am excited to continue my career with Accor and the Fairmont Dallas family,” Mertz said. “I am eager to use my experience and leadership to serve our guests and accommodate their needs.”

“We are thrilled to add an excellent new member in Benjamin and to recognize Christina in a new position on our team,” Martinez said. “Ben’s experience and enthusiasm will add great value to our already excellent team, and the expanded breadth of Christina’s skills will bring our Catering and Conference Services team to new heights.
