eviivo announced purchase of RezOvation and Webervations

RezOvation and Webervations users to be offered an upgrade to award-winning eviivo suite.

LONDON – eviivo, a leading online booking specialist for independent hotels and bed and breakfasts announced that the company has acquired software tools, RezOvation and Webervations, owned by BedandBreakfast.com, a HomeAway brand and part of Expedia Group.

The acquisition will give customers of these travel management tools access to eviivo's award-winning booking management platform. London-based eviivo will accelerate its entrance into the United States and Canada, through acquisition of established brands, with an existing customer base of innkeepers and accommodation providers.

Additionally, RezOvation and Webervations customers will continue to work closely with HomeAway and Expedia Group to market their properties, thanks to eviivo's status as an existing preferred partner of both channels, and benefit from direct connection to new distribution partners.

As a result of the deal, eviivo will launch an upgraded version of eviivo suite – its market leading booking and channel management platform – for the North American market, including improved features for RezOvation and Webervations customers. eviivo's booking management platform is used by over 12,000 independent accommodation providers worldwide, and provides a simple way to manage guests, bookings and travel agencies.

This all-in-one solution combines a beautifully designed booking calendar, effective booking management and guest messaging tools, a responsive website and booking engine, integrated PCI-Compliant card processing, and a channel manager offering high-fidelity connections to major travel brands, including HomeAway, BedandBreakfast.com and Expedia Partner Solutions. Packed with powerful and innovative technology, eviivo suite is delivered in the cloud, to ensure affordability and allow innkeepers and accommodation providers to compete on an equal footing with larger hotel chains.

Existing Webervations and RezOvation customers will be able to register for an upgrade of services beginning October 20, 2018, and the company expects to complete the upgrade program by early 2019. All customers will be contacted individually in the coming weeks and invited to an introduction session, followed by a scheduled roll-out and webinar training program.

"eviivo has been a partner of Expedia Group's for many years, so this is another building block in a great relationship," said Michele Fitzpatrick, eviivo CEO. "We were first to market a full content API with Expedia Group, and have launched innovative on-boarding processes and technologies together. We believe that eviivo suite will prove to be an excellent fit to the needs of Webervations and RezOvation customers, whilst deep integration with all major travel brands will help them increase their booking volumes."

"HomeAway is the place to book cabins, beach homes, condos and everything in between, and software and tools for innkeeper customers represent a small part of our overall business," said Ryan Hutchings, General Manager BedandBreakfast.com. "eviivo are uniquely focused on bed and breakfasts, innkeepers, small hotels and independent hosts, and understand their needs deeply, making eviivo suite the ideal partner for Webervations and RezOvation users. This transaction will help us focus on helping travellers find the perfect place to stay for every trip, and generate more bookings for innkeepers, owners and managers, across our many vacation rental brands."
