TTG 2022, tourism: Travel is now “Unbound”

The 71st SIA Hospitality Design and the 40th SUN Beach&Outdoor Style will be held at the same time, completing Italian Exhibition Group’s marketplace with services and furnishings for hotels and seaside tourism.

RIMINI, ITALY – "Unbound" tourism at the 59th TTG Travel Experience 2022, which, running alongside the 71st SIA Hospitality Design and the 40th SUN Beach&Outdoor Style, will be open from 12th to 14th October at Rimini Expo Centre. "Unbound", the key word of this edition of the three Italian Exhibition Group events, sums up the contemporary strategy of the travel and hospitality industry: tourism wants to break free of restrictions, market stereotypes and conventions to open up to the unexpected. At TTG, Italy confirms its role as the starting point for this exploration: as a leading tourism product for foreign buyers and as an outgoing market for international destinations promoted at Rimini. Complete with services for incoming and seaside tourism, as well as furnishings and supplies for the hotel industry, TTG with SIA and SUN is the most important Italian tourism marketplace.

Regions, municipalities, product aggregations, incoming tour operators, food and wine, cultural and experiential tourism operators: in the ITALY halls, with a larger than usual surface area, foreign buyers will find the entire offer of national destinations. THE WORLD halls, on the other hand, will feature international destinations that choose to promote themselves on the Italian market.

Global Village is TTG’s historical section where tour operators, cruise and airline companies, together with technology and service suppliers, demonstrate their latest commercial strategies and display their new products at Rimini Expo Centre. The TTG NEXT area, however, is dedicated to start-ups and innovative tourist companies that work on supply chain digitalisation.

The programme of events at TTG, SIA and SUN will develop the «Unbound» theme in four arenas (Main Arena, Italy Arena, Global Village Arena and BeActive Arena). Seen as a pulsating sphere, which refuses to be static and reflects the surrounding landscape, TTG 2022’s theme will be the leitmotif of talk shows, workshops and training meetings, outlining the global perspectives and scenarios of the various tourism sectors with business case histories, Book&Go with presentations of travel book titles with writers, bloggers, designers and innovators. Expanding boundaries, freeing up travel time, opening up to new travel concepts and the search for new stimuli are ways in which the industry is being redesigned «without constraints». The programme will also include focuses on various projects and special events, including those organised by exhibitors and stakeholders at the three events.

People from the Italian tourism industry who, more than others, have been able to stand out and leave their mark during the year will be the protagonists of the TTG2022 Person of the Year Award established by TTG Italia magazine. TTG, however, is not just the in-person, 3-day event at Rimini Expo Centre since it will be followed by the digital agenda on 17th and 18th October; only for Italian exhibitors with a stand. With TTG Destination Academy , the contents disseminated during the Rimini event will become training modules for destinations, territories and product clubs throughout the year. In fact, TTG networks the entire Italian tourism product community in order to position itself on foreign markets with meetings between buyers and sellers within the relative territories; roadshows to present foreign destinations to Italian buyers; and training events to distribute the Vision Masterclass.
