LOT Polish Airlines operates the new flights at attractive times (mornings and evenings), benefitting both private and business travellers.

LOT Polish Airlines now flies twice daily from Tegel Airport to Warsaw. With the attractive connections, passengers can easily get to the Polish capital and quickly transfer to numerous onward flights to Eastern Europe, North America, Central Asia and the Far East.

LOT Polish Airlines operates the route between Tegel Airport and Warsaw with modern Bombardier Q400 regional aircraft and Embraer regional jets. The flights to Warsaw, like every other international flight of the airline, have three comfortable classes: LOT Business Class, LOT Premium Economy Class and LOT Economy Class. Every week from Berlin, the airline offers over 1,000 seats on the connection between the two capitals. A third daily flight will be added from June 2018. The flight time from Tegel Airport takes 85 minutes.

LOT Polish Airlines operates the new flights at attractive times (mornings and evenings), benefitting both private and business travellers. The departure in the morning takes place at 10:25 and the evening aircraft departs at 19:30. In addition, the flight schedule is perfectly matched to the numerous connecting flights offered by LOT Polish Airlines via the Warsaw hub. The Chopin airport in the Polish capital is considered to be a particularly good airport to catch a connecting flight at, since it’s possible to do so within 30 minutes. LOT Polish Airlines fly to around 60 destinations from Warsaw, including numerous cities in Eastern Europe, North America, Central Asia and the Far East. The airline operates flights to long haul destinations exclusively with the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Amit Ray, Regional Director DACH Market of LOT Polish Airlines, had this to say: "We are pleased to offer our guests from Berlin a highly attractive range of flights that go far beyond Warsaw. In comparison to many other airports in Europe, we offer faster connections via Warsaw, so that, for example, North American destinations such as New York and Chicago can be reached with minimal loss of time. The same applies to our destinations in Asia, which include Astana, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo and, as of May 2018, Singapore. Many of our long haul destinations are also hubs of the Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline group. As a member of the Star Alliance, we have harmonised our schedules with those of our partners, giving passengers additional travel options.“

Expansion strategy with additional new destinations and aircrafts
Tegel Airport is the sixth airline in Germany that LOT Polish Airlines operates from, with Nuremburg soon to become the seventh. These new flights are the consequent continuation of the ambitious expansion strategy that the airline has embarked on since 2016. In addition to adding new routes, the airline is investing in new aircraft and has ordered a number of Boeing 787-9, Boeing 737 MAX8 and Embraer 195 aircraft, amongst others, which are gradually being delivered. For example, the first Boeing 737 MAX8 has only just been transferred from the factory in Seattle to Warsaw. Already in service this year were four Boeing 737NG and two Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Rafal Milczarski, the CEO of Polish Airlines: "We are an important link in the air traffic between East and West and not only want to establish ourselves as a leading airline in Poland, but also play a significant role in Eastern Europe and in traffic to Central Asia, the Far East and North America. In addition to good connections, our excellent product as well as the high quality of service in the air and on the ground are decisive factors for success. In line with our expansion strategy launched in 2016, we intend to continue to grow strongly, almost doubling our global passenger traffic within a short space of time, from 5.5 million last year to ten million by 2020. The German-speaking market is very important to us."

"LOT Polish Airlines is back in Berlin. We are pleased that the airline is resuming its connection to Warsaw," says Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lutke Daldrup, Chief Executive Officer of Berlin Brandenburg Airport GmbH. "We share a long history: LOT was one of the first airlines at Schonefeld airport. It is good to know that they are once again securing this important route into the economic centre of our neighbours."
