An independent member of the Air France – KLM Group, transavia.com has committed to retrofit its entire fleet of 737s to Performance Enhancing Blended Winglet Technology. Initial installation, by ATC Lasham in the UK, is scheduled to start in November with the balance of the 26 shipsets to be installed through 2006. transavia.com also has options for additional shipsets of Blended Winglets for future fleet expansion.

transavia.com is an ideal candidate for Blended Winglet Technology, says Aviation Partners Boeing CEO Mike Marino. With longer than average stage lengths, and high annual aircraft utilization rates, transavia.com is well positioned to gain maximum benefit from our Performance Enhancing Technology.

At current fuel prices, transavia.com can expect a Blended Winglet payback period of just over 3 years. Transavia.com operates scheduled and charter flights to more than 70 destinations including many longer-haul runs such as Amsterdam to Luxor, Egypt (2036 nm), Marrakech, Morocco (1362 nm) and Izmir, Turkey (1256 nm).
