TUI AG bundles all central communication activities under the Group Communications umbrella from the start of 2003. The aim is to closely integrate product communication with Group communication involving the business and financial press.
The corporate communications of TUI Deutschland, whose main tasks previously involved communicating all aspects of TUI as a tour operator and its products and sales activities, as well as crisis communications in the German source market, will be completely integrated within TUI AG Group Communications.
Kay Baden (42), who joins TUI AG at the start of 2003, and takes over the running of the new TUI AG Group Communications department, is to be appointed general manager. Baden reports direct to Dr. Michael Frenzel (55), TUI AG executive board chairman.
Mario Kopers (38), who has been responsible for corporate communications at TUI Deutschland GmbH for the last four years, will report to Baden in future as TUI AG Director of Trade, Product and Financial Press. He will also take over other central functions and occupy a leading position within the new organisational structure.
Herbert Euler (48) takes over as Manager PR and Marketing at the TUI subsidiary Hapag-Lloyd Express from 1 January 2003.
We are standardising the communication of the TUI Group, shortening information and decision paths, and increasing our communications efficiency, says Frenzel.
