Rocketrip names Drew Sechrist Chief Revenue Officer

Former Salesforce VP to drive revenue growth at Rocketrip.

NEW YORK – Rocketrip, the leading technology platform for reducing corporate travel expenses, announced that Drew Sechrist has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. Sechrist, previously Vice President at Salesforce, joins Rocketrip with a depth of experience from building a billion-dollar sales organization.

Prior to joining Rocketrip, Sechrist was part of the team that grew Salesforce from pre-revenue to over $1 billion in revenue. He helped define the best practices that built Salesforce into a SaaS powerhouse, eventually becoming both the company's #1 sales manager and #1 account executive globally.

Reporting to Rocketrip CEO Dan Ruch, Drew will be responsible for driving revenue growth for the business. His work will span customer acquisition, client retention, and expansion. He joins Rocketrip at a key point in the company's growth, as the team rapidly closes deals with the Fortune 500 and recently completed a $9M Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

"Drew helped grow Salesforce from a scrappy startup into a billion-dollar business," said Dan Ruch, CEO of Rocketrip. "He has the experience, knowledge, and leadership ability to create massive growth at Rocketrip. We could not have brought in Drew at a better time, and we are excited to welcome him to the team."

"I joined Rocketrip because its travel incentives platform is a radical concept – the kind that has the potential to take off the way Salesforce did," said Sechrist. "Seventeen years ago, putting software in the cloud was a revolutionary idea, and today we take it for granted as the best method. In a few years, Rocketrip's approach to business travel will be viewed the same way."

Sechrist earned his B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and now resides in New York City.
