The travel editorial brand’s annual list includes members’ selections for the best hideaways worldwide.
AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Hideaway Report, a travel editorial brand that provides independent editorial reviews of the most incredible hideaways and experiences around the world, has announced the winners of its annual Members' Choice Awards. The winners list features the best in travel according to Hideaway Report members, a worldly and remarkably well-traveled group with discerning taste.
Hideaway Report editors travel anonymously and seek out smaller, one-of-a-kind properties where travelers can expect the highest levels of personal service and truly unique experiences. Hotels that meet the editors' standards join a select group of Hideaway Report-recommended properties. Over the years, Hideaway Report members have displayed intense loyalty to these iconic hotels, and it is from this list that they chose their favorites for the 2018 Members' Choice Awards.
Big Sur's Post Ranch Inn won the top award, Favorite Hideaway Hotel, as well as the Hotel With the Most Romantic Atmosphere and Most Amazing View. This year's awards also honor properties in categories such as Most Culturally Connected, Most Unplugged From the Wired World and Most Spectacular Wildlife Experience.
More than 200 Hideaway Report members also submitted photos for the Member's Choice Photo Contest, sharing their best travel memories, ranging from a hike in the Dolomites to a private game drive in Uganda. Hideaway Report staff selected Janet McDavid's photo, which is featured in the September Hideaway Report and online.
"Our members are what drive the Hideaway Report and inspire our editors to seek out the highest-quality travel accommodations and amenities," said the editor-in-chief of the Hideaway Report. "We are pleased to announce the 2018 Members' Choice Award winners this year, and to allow our members to speak for themselves to reveal their favorite hideaways and transformative travel experiences across the globe." As with all Hideaway Report editors, the editor-in-chief travels anonymously to maintain independence in the process of reviewing hotels and hideaways for the brand.
