Castle Resorts & Hotels unveils new logo and brand identity for the iconic Hilo Hawaiian Hotel

The new logo, an evocative design based on traditional hula implements, is a bold and vibrant new take on Hilo Hawaiian Hotel's prior logo, which served as the hotel's identity for the past 40 years since it opened in 1973.

Signifying the growth and transformation following the property’s recent $6.5 million renovation, the new logo and brand identity celebrate the unique culture of and modern facelift of the hotel.

“The launch of this new logo kicks-off a new era of the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel that our customers have come to love,” said Alan Mattson, President and Chief Operating Officer for Castle Resorts & Hotels. “Our goal was to create a new logo that tied together the rich history of our location, the new look of our renovated product, and the commitment of our hotel to the community that has supported us over the past 40 years.”

“While we have updated and improved the look and feel of our hotel, we are not forgetting our past and the culture that surrounds us,” said Daryle Kitamori, General Manager for the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. “Our new logo is a celebration of all of these elements.  We look to hula to remind us of the people and land we come from. We embrace this culture and open our doors to those that flock to Hilo to learn and perpetuate these traditions. We continuously strive to be an example of genuine aloha and hospitality.”
