Grecotel Hotels & Resorts partners with GIATA to keep hotel content up-to-date

Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the Greek hotel chain, has chosen GIATA DRIVE to showcase its real-time hotel information across hundreds of sales channels via one central platform.

BERLIN – GIATA, the leading travel technology company specialising in tourism content distribution, including images and descriptions, announced that Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the top Greek hotel chain and one of the top in the Mediterranean region with 40 hotels & resorts has chosen GIATA DRIVE to showcase its real-time hotel information across hundreds of sales channels via one central platform.

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. This means that while price is important to customers, they make purchasing decisions mainly based on images that are easily accessible and attractive. By collaborating with GIATA, Grecotel will be able to enrich and secure its visual data in the global range of distribution channels. Through the central content distribution platform – GIATA DRIVE, Grecotel will now be able to inform all partners promptly and accurately about any changes to its properties – across all channels. This will ultimately lead to more well informed and thus more satisfied customers.

"In an ever-growing sea of information, it is more important than ever to have a platform that allows us to keep our hotel descriptions and pictures under control," says Martha Filenta, Senior Marketing & Sales Executive at Grecotel. "That is why we have partnered with GIATA, who are experts in distributing hotel content. With GIATA DRIVE we can manage our hotel content more efficiently and this has led to a noticeable improvement in the quality of our online presence."

"At GIATA, our goal is to help our partners stay competitive and profitable with the most up-to-date hotel information," says Rainer Schaefer, VP Sales, at GIATA GmbH. “We accomplish this by aggregating hotel data, including images, descriptions and factsheets, into an all-in-one, accurate and complete database. This partnership will further help Grecotel to save its workload and improve the time management of any updates occurring in their product.”
